FLASH! Birth control caused the economic crisis!
The right-wing Population Research Institute has analyzed the current economic crisis and finds that abortion and birth control are what is "Killing the Economy," the title of the Oct. 28 Weekly Briefing from PRI president Stephen W. Mosher.
Mosher and co-author Colin Mason cite discredited radical Dennis Howard identified as a “demographic researcher,” as finding that abortion has cost the U.S. gross domestic product $35 trillion in lost human productivity.
“If you further take into account the number of babies lost to abortifacient contraception like the pill, IUDs, and RU-486, that number doubles,” the article says. For comparison, the 2007 Gross World Product – all goods and services produced by all of humankind – was only $65 trillion.
“Although it would be simplistic to blame the current financial crisis on America's propensity for killing the unborn, it is equally simplistic to pretend, as many do, that the two have absolutely no correlation,” the article says.
This article, like the “Pills Kills” campaign, is another example of the increasingly open attack on birth control through pseudo-science, blatant disinformation and unsupported “research” that equate it with abortion.
“Perhaps now, with the economy collapsing around us, these arguments can receive the hearing that they deserve,” the article concludes.
